Buckden Roundabout

December 2017

Cambridgeshire Police

Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening (dependent on what time of day you read this)

Firstly apologies for the gap in submitting a report but rest assured Buckden has not been forgotten.

Christmas will almost be upon us when this newsletter reaches your door so please make sure that you secure all property,

which would include windows and doors, sheds and outbuildings, cars and vans. Please try and keep all presents out of direct

sight until Christmas Day.

If you have any concerns for an elderly or vulnerable neighbour please report it. Winter can be a tough time for some, so please

make someone aware if you have a concern, or contact myself and I will raise a concern if needed.

Doorstop sellers and rogue traders - we have not received any reports from Buckden over the past few months of rogue traders

in the area which is good, however neighbouring villages have received plenty of unwanted callers. If you receive a doorstep

seller and they do not have the correct identification which should be an ID card with their name, address and a photo of them

on it and a Hawkers license issued by Cambridgeshire Police to allow door to door selling in the county then please contact us.

Recent crime in the village – there have been several incidents at One Stop Shop involving shop lifting and theft. There has been

a theft of a pedal cycle left at the rear of the George PH. Theft of an outboard motor taken from a boat at Buckden Marina.

Rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour at the Buckden Village Club.

In general reports about ASB issues are down in the last 3 months, which is good news.

If you have any issues that you would like to talk about concerning your personal safety or in the village of Buckden, then I

would be happy to hear from you. You can contact me on the details at the bottom of this report.

Please keep safe and remember to report any suspicious activity on 101.
