HERITAGE OPEN DAY
at THE TOWERS
SUNDAY 14
th
SEPT
1.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.
Buckden Towers is a unique Grade 1 Listed Build-
ing. On Heritage Day, this historic site is open to the
public.
You can take a short tour, visit the lovely Knot Gar-
den, see the exhibition of wool dyeing using tradi-
tional plant dyes and buy produce and bric-a-brac
from the stalls.
Then relax with a cup of tea and a cake from the
refurbished Friends Refectory.
This year we have special CHILDREN’S events –
making Pilgrims Medallions and Tudor ink (and try a
Tudor pen) and more, in addition to the acres of
grounds for them to explore, so bring the family!
For more details see the Friends of Buckden Tow-
ers website:
www.fobt.org.uk
.
FOBT thanks the owners, The Claretians, for their
generous permission to open The Towers to the
public.
