Overlooked Wildlife
The Huntingdonshire Local Group of the Wildlife Trust is pleased to present an illustrated talk entitled ‘Overlooked
Wildlife’ on Wednesday 10
th
September at 7.30pm at Brampton Memorial Hall, Thrapston Road, Brampton.
Our speaker, Brian Eversham, has been the Chief Executive of the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire
and Northamptonshire since 2009. Previous to that, Brian has been the Conservation Director for the Trust and,
among other things, he developed the Ecology Groups for monitoring nature reserves. Brian was also head of
Zoology and Research Co-ordinator at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Monks Wood from 1983-1997.
Brian has a comprehensive knowledge and interest in wildlife including birds, botany, lichens, insects and mol-
luscs and is the author of the Atlas of the Dragonflies of Britain and Ireland and editor of the Ordnance Survey Na-
ture Atlas. Tonight Brian will concentrate on the small but fascinating world of insects, fungi, plant galls and li-
chens and will illustrate how an average nature reserve or wildlife-friendly garden can support several thousand
species.
Anyone interested in wildlife is most welcome to attend. Suggested donation:
£2.00 members; £2.50 non-members. Please contact Tim on 01480 457795 for further information.
