‘The Godmanchester
Stirling’
On the night of the 10
th
April 1942 the RAF bombed
the Ruhr city of Essen. Once again XV Squadron,
based at RAF Wyton, contributed to the raid, its air-
craft making up part of the 254 bomber force that
night.
My talk is dedicated to the crew of just one of those
aircraft, Stirling N3703, and, through their story, the
rest of XV Squadron.
You will hear about the men, their lives before the
war, how they came together as a crew and some
of their amazing operations they took part in. And of
course, what happened to them.
I hope you can join me, Roger Leivers, and hear
their story.

'Fearless Fun' with
Daniel and the Lions!
Buckden and District Churches Together are de-
lighted to invite all children of primary school age to
a morning of 'FEARLESS FUN' at the Methodist
Church on
Tuesday 2nd Sept, 10a.m.- 12 noon.
End your summer holidays on a high with fun and
games, crafts, stories and songs (and maybe even
a biscuit or two) as we join superhero Daniel in a
den of scarey lions! It's free and everyone's wel-
come, so do come and join in.
