The Rotary Club of Kimbolton Castle arranges each year an evening's entertainment for the Burns Club, which is
an organisation that supports children who have suffered severe burns, and have had to deal with the disability
resulting from their accident. On 11th August 2015 the Club took 60 children and their helpers from Grafham Wa-
ter Centre by coach to the old airfield at Alconbury and entertained them by providing driving experiences in sports
cars, police emergency response vehicles, fire engines, off-road 4x4s and driving school cars. The children thor-
oughly enjoyed the experience of being driven fast (but safe) speed up the old runway and (although under road
driving age) in dual control driving school cars. The off-road 4x4s were a great favourite amongst the children. The
next day the children were entertained at the Grafham Water centre, taking part in a variety of activities - the foam
slide being the highlight of the afternoon.
Kimbolton Castle Rotary Club has supported the Burns Club for over 16 years by providing funding for their activi-
ties during their stay at Grafham Water.
