What’s On at St Mary’s Buckden : March 2017
RAISING THE ROOF!
You may have seen the scaffolding and activity at St Mary’s towards the end of 2016. You can
see from this month’s cover picture that the roof-work is now complete. Our thanks go to eve-
ryone who was involved in this project in any way.
Sadly, the roof-work was just the tip of the iceberg. There is even more work still to be done to
repair the stonework on and around the tower, to make good the exterior of the vestry and the
to renovate the historic organ. Most of the money that we had, has been spent on the roof; so
2017 has to be a year of fund-raising through grant applications, fundraising initiatives and di-
rect donations. Please help in any way that you can:-
