Front Cover
The cover photo this month is by Barry Priest and shows the
recently refurbished roof at St Mary’s church. As ever, we are
very grateful.
We are always looking for photos, images, drawings and
paintings to use on the front cover so please keep sending
them in. In particular we are looking for photos with a winter
theme. Please note that photos should ideally be in portrait
format and should be a
minimum
of 2400 x 1700 pixels.
More is better!

As I am sitting here writing this, I am seeing the first snow I remember this winter - falling ahead of what is forecast
to be a very cold weekend! Assuming this continues, and some of it settles, I hope some of our photographic readers
braved the elements to get us some great winter pictures for use in future editions! If you did, please send them to
us!
As you should now be aware, HDC are proposing to change the days on which some of the bins in the village are col-
lected - effective from Wednesday March 1st. I know that the collection day for both my black, general refuse bin
and my recycling bin is moving from Friday to Wednesday, and I am assuming the whole village is similarly affected.
This means that I need to put my recycling bin out on Tuesday 28th February rather than Thursday 2nd March.
We have extra pages this month to accommodate the schedule and entry forms for the Buckden Gardeners Spring
Show. This is always an interesting event, and I always try and visit for a look. Sadly I am not proficient enough to
enter anything!
