New Bookings
I’m delighted to report that we have new classes and new faces here at the Hall! MariaElena has started to
run her yoga classes here on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday which are very popular. There is also
a new exercise class just started called ‘Fitness with Freddie Heart’ on a Wednesday evening. This promises
to be a fun aerobics class that consists of cardio and muscular endurance exercises to build stamina, strength
and tone the body. Please email me if you would like more information on any of these classes.
I am also very excited to report that we are now home to Guide Dog Training which will take place here twice a
month!
And as if that wasn’t enough, we now have Shuffletots here on a Tuesday 12pm – 1pm. This is an exciting
musical activity group for babies, toddlers and preschool children with colourful musical instruments, songs,
puppets and storytelling. Please contact me for more details.
Hall Hire
Our Hall is a fabulous place to hire for a party, whether it’s a wedding reception, a birthday, an anniversary, a
christening, a leaving do, a charity night etc. As soon as the marquee is pulled across the ceiling it transforms
the room into a space perfect for a celebration. Please call me to find out more information or pop down to
have a look for yourself. We also now offer chair cover and sash hire to make the room look even more amaz-
ing :o)
Don’t forget that as residents of Buckden you all receive discounted rates on Hall hire. Please call or
email me if you would like to find out more.
Repair and Maintenance
Heat detectors have been replaced this month and we have also had our fire alarm service and annual emer-
gency lights test carried out.

Buckden Friends
We hope you are all thinking about holidays. Why not
come with us to Torquay. We have some spaces still:
single rooms too if you want one. It is on Tuesday
17th May to Monday 23rd May, 7 days. 445 pounds.
Included is half board, 3 day excursions, light meal on
route and coach from Buckden. Brian and I will take
help you have a good time.
For those of our friends that have paid a deposit then
the balance of 345 pounds is due by 6th March.

We also hope you are looking forward to the Buckden
Festival Carnival Parade and that you are making
some bright costumes to wear. Why not tie dye a T
shirt or make a bright cape. Make a huge headdress.
You get more out of things if you join in. Please help
make memories for the children of Buckden.
We also could do with some volunteers to help on the
day, 2nd July. Lets ALL have some fun.
