take place quarterly in
June, September, December
and March.
The annual subscription remains at £12.

Spring Term is always full of festivals and events to focus
our activities on. At the end of January we marked Aus-
tralia Day, and the children produced some great Australi-
an flags and their own version of Lamingtons. In February
we had a fun week of sponsored pancake flipping that
ended with a raucous Pancake Race on the Friday. Par-
ents and carers were invited along and good fun was had
by all! We also marked Chinese New Year and the chil-
dren enjoyed making Chinese dragons, having their faces
painted like sheep (since this is the Year of the Sheep),
and perhaps best of all having delicious Chinese food
tasting sessions. A big thank you to the Sunflower House
for donating the wonderful food, and to Sonia Wall for her
face-painting skills. Our older children have started more
‘grown-up’ writing and drawing in their workbooks in prep-
aration for big school. In March we will be thinking about
spring and Easter, and doing something Funny for Money
for Comic Relief.
Please think of us if you collect any Sainsbury’s vouchers;
last year we used them to buy a new trampoline, so we
hope to buy something equally exciting this year! Vouch-
ers can be dropped off at Preschool or into the collection
box at Costcutter (thanks to them for ‘hosting’ our collec-
tion box – we’re very grateful for their continued support).
You can also support us with your green tokens at Wait-
rose. Finally, our staff, children and committee wish eve-
ryone a happy Easter. Roll on Summer Term and sun-
shine!
