sourcing entertainment, more details to follow.

fantastic day.

VILLAGE NEWS
Friends in Deed
Our Winter Tea Party is now in the past and we look forward to Spring, with some trepidation, as we have not re-
ally had Winter Yet!
Whatever the season, Friends in Deed is available with a listening ear and a helping hand. The only qualification
you need to ask for help, is that you live within the parish of Buckden. Please do not be shy.
We hope a visit from Mrs. Pam Fraser of Age UK may be of interest to many people in the village. You may re-
member that Mrs. Fraser was prevented by illness from being a speaker at our AGM but promised to come for a
future meeting. She will be speaking about a specific area of her work, Advocacy, which I think means providing a
voice for older people who cannot speak up for themselves, in various situations. It will I am sure, make good lis-
tening and we shall certainly be better informed.
This open meeting is planned for Wednesday 26
th
March, in the Village Hall at 3.00pm. Please note the change of
time from our usual meetings. We hope this will be more attractive to folk who do not enjoy turning out on a chilly
evening. If you need transport, please contact Andy Scott who matches passengers to drivers.
Please remember too the Drop in for a Cup of Tea, hosted by Friends in Deed in the Living Stones Room in St.
Mary's Church on the first Wednesday afternoon of every month.
