Buckden Parish Council News...

Reporting an issue on the Ouse Valley Way

A 26-mile section of the Ouse Valley Way runs through Huntingdonshire, going from St Neots to Earith. Many residents of Buck-

den use the section of the Ouse Valley Way between Paxton and Huntingdon and the Parish Council regularly gets reports of

problems with the path such as fallen trees or flooded sections. The responsibility for the maintenance of the path lies with

Cambridgeshire County Council, who is responsible for public rights of way in Cambridgeshire.

To report an issue on the Ouse Valley Way footpath, please contact Cambridgeshire County Council on 0345 0455212 or via

their website using the following link which will take you directly to the ‘Report a problem’ section

https://highwaysreporting.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/

You then have to plot the location on the map by zooming in as far as possible. Once you have clicked on the position of the

issue you can then log its details.

A Huge Thank you to our Village Nisa Shop

The Buckden Parish Community Allotments Working Group, would like to thank our local Nisa store for the generous charitable

donation from their “Making a Difference Charity” of £553.48 and the £100.00 added to this figure by the store managers Bari

and Ranj.

This donation, along with the FREE labour given by Mark Duly (carpentry and building services), his son Andrew Duly (brick work

services), Buckden`s Explorer Scouts and members of the allotments working group, will enable the hard standing and turf to

be laid for the new communal space project on plot 46. This new space will be used and enjoyed by allotment holders and their

families, including the Cubs, Scouts and Buckden CofE School who have recently joined us at the allotments.

Any questions or comments on this report can be addressed to the Parish Clerk, Georgina West, Clerk to Buckden Parish Coun-

cil, Buckden Village Hall, Burberry Road, Buckden PE19 5UY.
