Bookings
June is a very busy month for the Hall. Every Saturday and Sunday is booked, and during the week we will be
host to nine business meetings as well as our usual events.
Great news – new exercise class for older adults!
We are very happy to welcome a new exercise class for older adults and those requiring additional support to
exercise, starting in the Millard Suite on 8
th
June 1:30pm – 2:30pm. These friendly ‘RightStart’ classes will be
run by Huntingdonshire District Council, initially for a trial period of 8 weeks, and are a great way to meet other
people with similar health and fitness concerns. Friends In Deed will be offering lifts to anyone who needs
transportation.
Vandalism
As many of you may be aware, our children’s climbing frame has unfortunately been mindlessly vandalised.
This will cost the Trust the best part of £1,000 to mend and has meant that many of our youngest residents
haven’t been able to play on it. By the time this goes to print, the damage should have been mended.
The Valley
Some villagers have expressed concern that there are brown rats running around by the Valley. In order to
make the area less ‘rat friendly’, please can anyone who feeds the ducks try to ensure that most of the food
goes into the water rather than being left on the banks as it is the rats that eat it!
Lost property
There was a girls/ladies Raleigh bike left outside the library for several weeks. This has now been taken by
the police and put into the police property system. If it does belong to anyone, please contact the local police.
We also have a pair of girl’s prescription glasses that were handed in to the office. If these are yours, please
call me!
