After the bumper edition produced last month
featuring the great photographs of the Village
festival and the VC Commemoration to Captain
John Green, this month is far quieter!
As has been mentioned before, we often re-
ceive compliments about the magazine from our
readers, our contributors, our advertisers and
our distributors. I am delighted to say that the
magazine has now received praise from further
afield!
Cambridge Building Society launched their
Community Magazine awards 17 years ago to
celebrate the diverse range of publications
available in the region. This year, Buckden
Roundabout was awarded a Bronze Medal
(jointly) for high frequency magazines. The edi-
torial team are understandably delighted to be
recognised in this way, but are clear that this
award needs to be shared with all who contrib-
ute to the success of the magazine!
We are always seeking ways to improve the
magazine and picked up a few ideas at the
award evening!

Janet Gale - hopefully not the last sign of summer
we’ll see for a while!
We are still looking for photos, images, draw-
ings and paintings to use on the front cover so
please keep sending them in.
