Huntingdon Dining Club
Huntingdon Dining Club is a friendly fundraising group which
raises vital funds for the national children’s charity the
NSPCC in Cambridgeshire through a programme of luxury
luncheons, fashion shows and talks. Money raised by the
club’s events and membership fee will help NSPCC projects
such as Speak Out Stay Safe.

Did you know…?
July 1533 was a dramatic time in Buckden’s history. After the
annulment of their marriage, Henry VIII sent Catherine of
Aragon to reside in Buckden Palace. It was described as “a
wild and sparsely-populated country on the edge of the
great fens”.
Did you know…?
The first of several generous acts of charity in Buckden came
from William Burberry’s Will, dated 18 March 1558. He de-
vised that the rent from his lands should go to the poor of
Buckden “whilst the world should endure”.
