Hollywood or Bust
1 in 8 women, and men, too, are diagnosed with Breast Can-
cer at some point in their lives - sad, but true.
Hollywood or Bust
is the Breast Cancer Support Group for
breast cancer patients attending Hinchingbrooke Hospital and
provides much-needed camaraderie, emotional support and
solidarity from their peers.
It is for people who have breast cancer and is a source of in-
formation with the breast cancer team in attendance along
with guest speakers, not to mention the benefit of other pa-
tients’ experience. Informal and relaxed, members enjoy the
social contact it provides. It is well attended and all are wel-
come from the point of diagnosis, throughout treatment and
beyond.
Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month in the Ed-
ucation Centre at the hospital, at 7 p.m.
It is free to attend.
Events also take place throughout the year which can also act
as fund-raisers e.g a ball in October, meals out which are sub-
sidised and the occasional day out which in the past has been
free! Light refreshments are served.
