180 new homes for Buckden? Tell us what you think.

Buckden Parish Council has received notice of a speculative outline planning application to build approximately

180 new homes adjacent to Buckden. It is proposed that the estate would be built in the fields behind The Osiers

and Springfield Close, with the access in Lucks Lane just after the Springfield Close junction.

We have been informed that further details can be found, from 16

th

February 2016, at:

www.your-views.co.uk/buckden

The Parish Council is very keen to hear residents' views on this proposed application. Please tell us what you

think by writing to the Parish Clerk at the address below (no phone calls, please) or e-mailing:

A14

The final plans for the new section of the A14 will be submitted to the Secretary of State shortly and we are ex-

pecting a decision towards the end of May. If approval is given, it is planned that construction will begin in the mid-

dle of this year.

Your Parish Council is now entering the phase of being asked to comment about details of the scheme, for exam-

ple mitigation measures for noise, pollution etc. both during and after construction. We have also learnt that there

will be a compound for personnel, construction materials, equipment etc. in the field south of Brampton, just after

the bridge under the A1. This compound will not, however, house any accommodation for construction workers.
