merit inmaking their choice. Pointswill beawarded for first, second and third ineach themewithin each age cate-
gory: the overall winner of eachage categorywill be awarded the trophy for that age, and therewill also bemod-
est cashprizes for winners of each theme. The judges’ decision is final.

Farewell to long-serving councillors
– In theParishCouncil Annual Report, youwill have read of the retirement
of ParishCouncillor JuneWoods after 46 years of service to the community. Another of our long-serving council-
lors, TerryClough, also decided to retire beforeMay’s election. Terryhas been a parish councillor since 1990and
has also, of course, served the village for 24 years in his additional role of District Councillor.Wewould like to
thank both councillors for their outstanding contribution.Wewill miss their knowledgeandwise counsel and send
them all best wishes for the future. It’s been a privilege to serveonBuckdenParishCouncil with you both.
