BUCKDEN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
BJFC is a Charter Standard club comprising 7 teams:
U4/5/6s Dribblers (training only), U8 Eagles
(5v5), U9 Vultures, U10 Buzzards (both 7v7), U11 Condors, U11 Harriers (both 9v9), U14 Falcons
(11v11).
December Match Results
Results are a bit on the thin side this month because the Mini-Soccer and Hunts Youth League fixtures finished
on 12th December for the Christmas/New Year break and recommenced on 9th January. Mini-Soccer and HYL
U11 fixtures are divided into 3 sections for the season, normally with a gap of 2 weeks between each. At the end
of Sections 1 (mid-December) and 2 (mid-February), teams are re-assessed on their results and, if necessary, will
be moved to another, more suitable Division to try and ensure that they play against other teams of similar ability.

Buckden Needs Referees for Mini-Soccer Matches
Buckden JFC requires Refs on Saturday mornings at Buckden for U8, U9 and U10 home matches. You don’t
have to be formally qualified – you just need to be able to do the job! Also, if you would like to gain a formal Ref-
eree qualification, BJFC is willing to finance a training course for you to achieve this. Either way, if you wish to

Buckden Dribblers Still Welcomes New Players and Needs Coaches
The Dribblers now have a record 33 players in attendance but still wish to encourage more to join in. The age
group has been expanded from U5/6s to U4/5/6s to enable children in Pre-school, Reception and Year 1 to attend
(effectively 3 to 6 year-olds). The Dribblers would also like any parents, especially those whose offspring are in
Pre-School and Year 1, to help as coaches. This would allow the present management to ready the prospective
