New to Buckden Library!

Engage in the Afternoon is a programme of talks and

workshops organised by libraries throughout the coun-

ty. Following a successful taster event in October, we

will be running monthly events at Buckden library from

January 2016. We aim to bring you a range of interest-

ing speakers with wide knowledge of their specialist

subjects. Regular events will be held on the third

Wednesday of each month.

Our Next talk is on Wednesday 17th February between

2pm and 3.30pm and is entitles Tea Tasting. Join Sa-

rah Ormiston to hear all about how tea was discov-

ered, how it travelled the world, and became Britain's

best loved afternoon drink! There will be chance to

sample 10 different varieties of tea.

This is a free event and tickets are available at Buck-

den library or by contacting our call centre on 0345 045

5225. Places are limited so please remember to book.

Refreshments will be available and we ask for a small

donation to cover costs. A full list of talks taking place

across the district is available from the library on a

quarterly basis.
