The Roundabout
The Parish Council is supporting the new Roundabout editorial team in developing and improving the Roundabout.
You will have noticed the colour cover in the January edition, and the editorial team are planning other changes
over the coming months to both the format and the content of the magazine to make it more interesting and in-
formative. There will be information from the team as and when they make these changes.
This month, the Parish Council is very pleased to note the launch of the new Roundabout website, where you can
read the Roundabout on-line (the paper version will continue to be delivered to all households in the village), check
an up-to-date diary of events in Buckden, and contribute to
discussions about life in the village and locality through
a discussion forum. The Roundabout has
played a crucial role in the community life of the village over many years,
and we believe that the new Roundabout website will play a major role in the years to come. Read the editorial and
other information in this month’s edition about the website and check it out by going on-line here:

is rolling out superfast broadband to over
90,000 premises across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The new fibre broadband cabinets in Buckden are now
live and accepting orders for superfast broadband.
The Connecting Cambridgeshire website
‘my area’ pages for each area has links to the map showing the locations
of the cabinets and advice on ‘How to get Superfast Broadband’.
Our local library can link you up with someone to
show you how, or call Cambridge Direct Contact Centre on: 0345 045 5200 to find your nearest community access
point.
Mill Road/Greenway junction
Some residents have expressed concerns that a number of drivers turning left onto Mill Road from Greenway are
not looking left and are thereby risking a collision with traffic entering the village, which is on the right-hand side of
the road, having negotiated the chicane at the entry to Buckden. At our Parish Council meeting on 14
th
January
2014, the Council passed a motion to approach Cambridgeshire County Council with a request to improve the sign-
age at the end of Greenway.
The Parish Council would urge all drivers to exercise caution at this junction and to always look both ways before
turning on to Mill Road.
