            WE ARE A RESEARCH ACTIVE PRACTICE
          
        
        
          We have recently been accredited by the Royal
        
        
          College of General Practitioners (RCGP), as
        
        
          ‘Research Ready’ so we are able to participate
        
        
          in research studies that Primary Care Research
        
        
          Network (PCRN) offers to benefit the wider
        
        
          community in the long term.
        
        
          To become research ready the practice has
        
        
          completed
        
        
          an
        
        
          online
        
        
          self-accreditation
        
        
          questionnaire which covers the minimum
        
        
          requirements of The Research Governance
        
        
          Framework for Health and Social Care,
        
        
          Department of Health (2005). The accreditation
        
        
          has been developed by the Royal College of
        
        
          General Practitioners in conjunction with the
        
        
          National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)
        
        
          and the PCRN.
        
        
          The Primary Care Research Network East of
        
        
          England (PCRN EoE) is one of a family of
        
        
          national research networks working together
        
        
          with the Comprehensive Local Research
        
        
          Networks to provide a wide range of support to
        
        
          the local research community. Our Practice
        
        
          participates in research activity and works
        
        
          closely with the PCRN EoE, creating more
        
        
          opportunities for more patients to be involved in
        
        
          research should they wish.
        
        
          
            No studies are compulsory and patients may
          
        
        
          
            decline any invitation to join a study.

          Service provider with over 1,000 customers.
        
        
          We are looking for a Part Time Office Assistant
        
        
          in our Buckden office to help Deborah (Office
        
        
          Manager) to schedule treatments with our
        
        
          customers.  This will involve phoning, e-mailing
        
        
          and texting as a means of communication and
        
        
          to deliver excellent all round customer service.
        
        
          Good computer knowledge is required as you
        
        
          will be recording data on our bespoke lawn care
        
        
          software.
        
        
          You will need an excellent telephone manner,
        
        
          be available to work 3 to 4 days per week
        
        
          between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm.

            VACANCY FOR TREASURER
          
        
        
          The present Treasurer will be leaving the post
        
        
          at the end of this year, and the Charity is
        
        
          seeking a replacement – would you be

          Interviews will be held by the end of November.
        
        
          The current treasurer will be available to help
        
        
          manage the handover.
        
        
          The main duties are managing the Charity’s
        
        
          finances and investments, preparing the Annual
        
        
          Accounts and budget, reviewing Utility
        
        
          contracts to obtain best value, and liaising with
        
        
          the Clerk on building maintenance and financial
        
        
          issues.  The post would suit someone with
        
        
          banking, audit or accounting experience.
        
        
          In addition to appropriate experience, the
        
        
          Treasurer needs the interpersonal skills
        
        
          necessary to work effectively with the Trustees
        
        
          and the Clerk to administer the work of the
        
        
          Charity.
        
        
          The Charity pays an honorarium at the end of
        
        
          each year and the demands on your time are
        
        
          moderate. You would also be helping to provide
        
        
          a valued and important service to the Village.
