Artwatch Weekend in St Mary’s
The Society of Wildlife Artists gave Buckden a won-
derful Exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures over the
weekend of 16
th
,17
th
and 18
th
October. With commis-
sion from the sales, refreshments and raffle we hope
to have raised a significant sum to share between the
3 charities - St Mary’s, Paxton Pits Nature Reserve
and the Bob Scott Memorial Appeal.
The main raffle winners were Rob and Liz Murray win-
ning the Cottage for a week in Galloway; other win-
ners were Caroline Faulkner, Rita Bates, Ann Moore
and Mary Eldershaw. There were other winners who
will have had a phone call from the organisers. Our
very great thanks are due to everyone involved - from
sponsors to cake makers. It was hard work but worth
it!
