We are delighted to welcome the Dog’s Trust to the Hall. They hold a Dog School each week

Public Inquiry

As most of you know, the public inquiry took over the main hall and the three conference rooms for two weeks in May. The

event ran smoothly and the inquiry teams have expressed their thanks to us as they were very happy with the facilities. I

would like to say a big thank you to the Village Hall staff for their dedication and hard work during this time.

Cambridgeshire Police

Glad to see the weather is warming up and more people are out and about enjoying the longer lighter evenings.

From a safety point of view, please make sure that your children are fully aware of the dangers of walking close to rivers, lakes

and the railway line, I have had reports recently of children playing on the railway lines. I am sure we all know how dangerous

that could be.

Children have also been reported climbing up onto the roof of Buckden Academy School in School Lane, Buckden, again this is

not safe and is also trespassing and individuals will be dealt with accordingly if caught.

There has been a House burglary in Buckden where a property has been entered in broad daylight via a ground floor window. 3

Males were seen hanging around the property and a black BMW parked outside the property. A search of the property has been

carried out and a limited amount of items taken.

Please remain vigilant, crime is not always committed in the dark shadow of night.

Do you live in or around the Bishop Way area of Buckden? If so, some residents have experienced over a 2 year period their

vehicles being targeted by placing screws either into the car tyre or scattered on driveways for the car to drive over. This is

mindless crime and needs to stop now, if you know anything about this you can contact me securely on the details listed below.

Finally, I am away for the next 2 weeks, back on June 29

th

if you have information or wish to report a crime please call it in on

101

Please keep safe and remember to report any suspicious activity on 101.
