Huntingdonshire Health Walk Group

There is a choice of 15* scheduled health walks for

the Huntingdon group in July, but only one of the

walks starts from the Village Hall; it is on Wednes-

day the 1st at 1.50-for-2pm. This walk, the 'Buckden

Village' walk, which normally takes 45-55 minutes,

takes us out to Stirtloe, up the length of Lucks Lane,

thence around Buckden Towers, then back via

Church Street to the hall, where refreshments will

be available. *(No one is expected to walk them

all!).

The starting points nearest to Buckden for other

July walks are the car park at the Cinnamon Res-

taurant at Grafham on Friday the 3rd at 9.50-for-

10am, for the 'Grafham Lakeside' walk (about 60

mins.), and the car park at Frosts Garden Centre on

Friday the 24th at 9.50-for-10am, for the 'Brampton

Ramble', which usually takes 50-60 minutes.

A reminder that on every Thursday between now

and the 27th August, the group is walking for 45-60

minutes from the café at Hinchingbrooke Country

Park, starting at 6.05pm. The area is lovely at this

time of the year in the early evening -- please come

and try out this 'happy hour' yourself!

Finally, if you would like to know more about our

activities, please pick up a health walk booklet from

the Library, the Surgery or the Marina, contact the

Sports Development Officer at HDC, Danielle San-

caster, on 01480 387047, email Danielle at active-

lifestyles@huntingdonshire.gov.uk, visit the web site

at www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/healthwalks

Thank you -- happy walking, good health!
