Huntingdon Writers Group

EVERYONE WANTS TO

WRITE A BOOK

Huntingdon Writers Group

is a group of like mind-

ed authors - novice to multi-published - from the

Huntingdon area (including Buckden) who meet on

the first Tuesday of every month to enhance their

abilities. We encourage each other whatever our

individual interests or standards, and have a great

deal of fun in the process.

Whilst we do not teach creative writing, you will be

made very welcome and encouraged to join in a full

calendar of events including in-house competitions

(with cash prizes), on-the-spot writing exercises,

workshops and the very popular ‘read and com-

ment’ sessions. You will pick up valuable hints and

tips from fellow members and guest speakers –

and

learn from

your own experience

A good story or poem paints a picture of what you

see, hear or feel. If it touches a chord of empathy

with one person it will be memorable. And the best

thing is; it takes no more than a burst of creativity

and encouragement.
