BUCKDEN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB

February/March Match Results

Only a few matches were played this month. Mini-Soccer and HYL U11 fixtures are divided into 3

sections for the season, normally with a gap of 2 weeks between each. At the end of Sections 1

(mid-December) and 2 (early-March), teams are re-assessed on their results and, if necessary, will

be moved to another, more suitable Division to try and ensure that they play against other teams of

similar ability.

Also, please note that, unfortunately, the U11 Condors have had to withdraw from the Hunts Youth League be-

cause of a lack of players available to play future League games this season (most of the boys attend Kimbolton

School and are committed to school activities which will clash with HYL matches). However, the Condors intend

to play some friendlies.

Buckden Needs Referees for Mini-Soccer Matches

Buckden JFC requires Refs on Saturday mornings at Buckden for U8, U9 and U10 home matches. You don’t

have to be formally qualified – you just need to be able to do the job! Also, if you would like to gain a formal Ref-

eree qualification, BJFC is willing to finance a training course for you to achieve this. Either way, if you wish to

find out more, please contact Buckden JFC Secretary

Bob Crane

(01480 434610 /

).

Buckden Dribblers Still Welcome New Players and Need Coaches

need a couple more (Buckden JFC will pay for qualification courses etc.). Also, we are starting to look at how

many players we'll have for the new Under 7 team starting in September - if there are children (boys and girls)

who will be 6 yrs old by 31st August who want to be part of Buckden U7s please let us know ASAP as we are go-

ing to start playing friendlies after Easter. Please contact Dribblers managers Nick Speroni (07921 725293 /
