HUNTINGDON HEALTH WALKS
Have you heard of the Huntingdonshire Health Walks scheme? It’s a free walking scheme run by the One Leisure
Active Lifestyles team at Huntingdonshire District Council. The scheme offers 9 different walks a week which will
help you take in the stunning views and landscape that Huntingdonshire has to offer. Walks are held in & around
St. Neots, St. Ives, Yaxley, Sawtry, Huntingdon and Ramsey.
Walking is one of the safest and easier forms of physical activity. You don’t need any specialist equipment to start
walking and it can easily be built into your daily routine.
The Health Walks are led by trained volunteers on routes of varying lengths (roughly an hour in duration) and are
a great way to improve stamina and can benefit a variety of health conditions alongside the benefits of meeting
new people. All Health Walk leaders are also first aid trained. Walks often end with optional refreshment facilities
– for that well deserved cup of tea afterwards!
Walks taking place in Huntingdon are either Wednesday afternoons at 2pm or Friday mornings at 10am. Buckden
walks are included within the Huntingdon area.
Walks taking in St Neots are Monday mornings at 10am or Friday afternoons at 2pm. Walks are free of charge
and you can walk in whatever location you fancy.
You can view the current brochure, March – September 2016 at
