2016 POPPY APPEAL
I am not sure where the year has gone,
but gone it has; the 2016 Poppy Appeal
begins on 29th October and ends on Re-
membrance Sunday 13thNovember.
I know from previous years that your response has
been loyal and generous. We ask for your continued
support of this most worthwhile cause. For those fit
committed young people who return from active mili-
tary service very badly broken, in body and mind, to a
very uncertain future. For the families that are left with
only memories and for the many whose futures have
certainly been destroyed or taken away.
As we always ask please, wear your poppy with pride.

Christian Aid Week
The total collected by Buckden &
District Churches Together, in-
cluding proceeds from the Chris-
tian Aid Coffee morning, amount-
ed to £734.91. A huge thankyou to everyone who
came to the coffee morning or made a donation at
church!
Christian Aid works tirelessly to alleviate suffering
and poverty throughout the world; the theme for
2016 was 'Love thy neighbour'.
The amount raised in Buckden will go towards help-
ing families worldwide to rebuild their lives who have
been affected by the effects of both natural and man-
made disasters.
