Buckden Junior Football Club is aCharter Standard clubwhose objectives include the development of football
skills of young players toenable them toenjoy participating inAssociation junior football matches ('Charter Stand-
ard' is the official seal of approval from theFootball Association for a correctly-run club). BJFC is affiliated to
HuntingdonshireFAandarranges and provides facilities for football trainingand theplayingof LeagueandCup
matches.
TheClub is a non-profit organisation and its fullyqualified coaches andmanagers, plus its controlling body, the
ClubCommittee, are all volunteers. Thus, tohelp achieve its objectivesBJFC conducts fund-raising activities and
encourages sponsorship. However, of necessity it charges players’ parents a registration feewhich coversHunts
FA/League registration, liability/personal accident insurance, childwelfarepractice, kit, equipment, training
(includingwinter trainingarrangements on synthetic turf), hiringof pitcheswhen required, playing in all League
andCupmatches, and trophy presentationat the end of the season.
