Front Cover

The cover shows the Roundabout Christmas wreath from

2018 on display in St Mary’s. The 2019 wreaths are currently

on display in the church.

We are looking for more paintings of any kind that could use

as a front cover. We can photograph them if you only have

original artwork. We are also keen to get images (photos or

paintings) of the village and surrounding areas in preparation

for future issues. Please note that images should ideally be in

portrait format and should be a

minimum

of 2400 x 1700 pix-

els. More is better!

All advertisements and non-advertising material are printed in

good faith. Neither the Buckden Roundabout nor the Buck-

January 2020

We have reached the end of another year. Well, almost! It is

the time of year when I am writing about the start of the next

year when I have not got that close to Christmas as yet!

2019 has been a good year for Buckden Roundabout. We re-

ceived our award for the Most Improved Magazine in the

Community Magazine Awards sponsored by Cambridge Build-

ing Society. We continue to receive positive feedback, and the

occasional piece of constructive criticism, from our readers

and advertisers. Talking of advertisers, they are a very loyal

bunch and recognise what great value advertising in the

Roundabout provides; they continually tell us of the responses

they get from the community as a result of their adverts.

We have tried hard in 2019 to provide more variety in the

magazine. We will continue to have information and events

from the local groups and societies, but at the same time you

have seen, and will continue to see, a greater array of articles

on a wider variety of topics - but all with one common theme -

Buckden!

Although we now have a steady supply of articles, we are al-

ways looking for new contributors and new ideas for the mag-

azine. If you have ideas for articles you want to see included,

please contact us using the editor wemail address provided

below.

Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. There are

often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition,

as well as information that arrives during the month:

As we are still in December, we again wish everyone a Very

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
