Description

Bored of what’s hanging in your closet? Then it’s time to

GET SWISHING with your local Huntingdonshire Volun-

teer Centre and our Charity Shop Huntingdon Together.

Dig out those clothes lurking at the back of your ward-

robe and use them as currency to get yourself a new

(ish) frock. Bring up to 10 items of clothing, shoes or

accessories that you would be ‘

proud to pass on’

, that

are clean and in good condition to swap.

Drop them off from 10 am – 11am in exchange for to-

kens (1 High Street item = 1 token, 1 Higher Quality

High Street item = 2 tokens, 1 Designer item = 3 to-

kens).

The Swish opens at 11am and then it’s time to shop

until 3pm! Browse the rails and use your tokens to take

away a fabulous new outfit!

Entrance charge of £5 which includes one hot drink and

snack and lots of fun! Girls and boys, men and woman

all ages are welcome.

Remaining clothing will be donated to our Huntingdon

Why Swish?

The secret is out – we love clothes!

The average household owns £4,000 worth of clothing,

30% of which have not been worn in the past year. Esti-

mates put the value of this unused clothing at around

£30 billion. Don’t you think it’s time to start getting some

of that value back?

You are also helping the environment – according to

Futura - 0.4kg of CO2 is saved for every item of clothing

that is re-used, rather than bought new!

Interested?

We’d love your help with preparation,

promoting, attending and helping at the event.
