Huntingdon Writers Group

EVERYONE WANTS TO

WRITE A BOOK

Huntingdon Writers Group

is a group of like mind-

ed authors - novice to multi-published - from the

Huntingdon area (including Buckden) who meet on

the first Tuesday of every month to enhance their

abilities. We encourage each other whatever our

individual interests or standards, and have a great

deal of fun in the process.

Whilst we do not teach creative writing, you will be

made very welcome and encouraged to join in a full

calendar of events including in-house competitions

(with cash prizes), on-the-spot writing exercises,

workshops and the very popular ‘read and com-

ment’ sessions. You will pick up valuable hints and

tips from fellow members and guest speakers –

and

learn from

your own experience

buckden4businesswould

like to thank everyone

who helped make this year's Christmas Lights Cel-

ebration a success. Particular thanks must go to

Paul Reynolds, who, with his team is responsible

for closing the road safely for us. With his other

(Christmas) hat on, he was a fantastic MC for the

day.

Our thanks also to Crusader's for providing the

staging; The Vine, The George and The Lion for

letting us use their premises for the event; the Par-

ish Council for their continued support and also the

contributors, such as Offord Village Hall and the

Scouts for the loan of their tables The event could-

n't run without the willing volunteers - our thanks to

all the Marshalls and lastly - our patient families.

The 'Lights' Team - Ruth, Ellen and Jeanette.
