FRIENDS IN DEED

Our

Winter Tea Party

will be held on Wednesday 8

th

February and will take place in the Methodist Church

Hall from 2.30-4.00pm. If you are not on our invitation list but would like to join us for this social event

then please call Brenda Steadman on 810382

as soon as possible

. All are welcome and transport will be

available on request to collect and return those who would like a lift to the event – call the transport num-

ber below.

The Drop-in Café in St Mary’s Church is on the second Wednesday of every month – but not on the 8

th

February when it will be

the Tea Party instead! From March onwards it will run from 14:30 to 16:00 in the Living Stones Room so do come along and

enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, homemade cakes and a good chat.

We can help out with transport to a variety of locations including dental visits, hospital or surgery appointments (but not Buck-

den Surgery, which has its own transport scheme, contact Reception), and village events - if family, friends or public transport

can’t oblige.

If anyone needs support with shopping or errands during bad weather, or is housebound and would like a visit from one of our

volunteers then do give us a call.

For help or information contact:

Coordinator: Jane Scott 07810 006598 Requests for transport: Andy Scott 07914 669967.

BUCKDEN WI

At the January meeting it was a chance to discuss the Resolutions and select one to go forward to our Federa-

tion W.I. This was followed by cheese and wine provided by the Committee which was a lovely social evening

and a chance to catch up with our friends.

At our next meeting,

Tuesday 7

th

February 7:30pm,

there will be a talk by a lady from Purlwise, a shop in Kimbolton, selling

craft items. Everyone welcome.

The competition is a home-made craft item.
