This month’s cover photograph is of some of the wreaths in St
Mary’s Church which were on display last Christmas, and was
provided by Alec MacAndrew. As ever, we are very grateful.
This Christmas, there will again be a wreath festival in St
Mary’s Church.
We are always looking for photos, images, drawings and
paintings to use on the front cover so please keep sending
them in. Please note that photos should ideally be in portrait
format and should be a
minimum
of 2000 x 1700 pixels.
More is better!

Well, another Christmas is just round the corner. It seems as
though the time between one Christmas season and the next
gets shorter and shorter as the years go by. And yet the
months of hot dry weather we enjoyed in the summer seem
an age ago.
We have a number of local clubs and societies introducing
themselves in this edition—check out Monday Club on page 7,
Buckden Gardeners Association on page 13, and Offord and
Buckden Angling Society on page 15.
In this edition there is also a guide on page 10 to all the Christ-
mas events and services in the Buckden churches. Don’t for-
get the Christmas Market and the switch-on of the Christmas
lights in the High Street on 2nd December.
The Buckden Roundabout is urgently looking for an assistant
to our advertising manager. Without the Roundabout Team,
there would be no magazine, and I encourage anyone with
just a little spare time to contact us via the advertisement e-
mail address below.
I urge all contributors and advertisers to note that the copy
deadline for the January edition is at close of business on
Wednesday 5th December, which is earlier than normal. This
is because the January edition is distributed just before Christ-
mas, instead of at the end of the month.
Finally we wish all our readers, contributors and advertisers a
very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
