Buckden Roundabout

August 2017

For your diary

Huntingdonshire Health Walk Scheme

Huntingdon Group July 2017

We shall still be `walking the walks', even in August! There are

9 Wednesday-afternoon/ Friday-morning health walks this

month. The one at 2pm on the 16th is from the Village Hall car

park. There is also a new `Buckden Marina' walk at 2pm on the

9th, from the MARINA car park, but the other 7 walks start else-

where - access details from the website below.

Health walks are of 45 - 80 minutes' duration. You walk at your

own pace but with the added benefits of being in the company

of other walkers plus trained walk leaders.

Weather-proof clothes and sturdy shoes are a must, and so is a

bottle of water, to avoid dehydration. There's usually a cup of

tea/coffee available to enjoy afterwards, if you so wish. Health

walking is a very companionable and healthy experience – your

company would be most welcome.

For further information, please check out

www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/healthwalks, or feel free to tele-

phone Danielle Sancaster on 01480 387047

MONDAY CLUB

We are a social group of retired ladies who meet fortnightly

at 2.30pm in the Millard Room at Buckden Village Hall.

We enjoy a cup of tea as we chat and participate in a raffle.

Once a month we aim to organise a speaker or activity.

There is no Monday Club in August so the next

meeting will be:

4 September: Talk by the St Neots Fire Service

Why not come and join us? You’d be most welcome! If you

require a lift or any further information please contact Jane

Scott on 811468 or Betty Millard on 810087.
