Theworkof theBuckdenParishCouncil falls into twoareas. Firstly, our role is to represent youon issuesaffecting
the community toDistrict, CountyandCentralGovernment. Secondly,we carryout the followingworkwithin the
parish:
Maintenanceof open spaces at: the cemetery, thevalleyarea, StMary’sChurchyard, TheGreen, theVillage
Hall car park.
Onbehalf of theCountyCouncil: Verge cutting,withinvillageand toBuckdenMarina.
Provideandmanage theallotmentsand the cemetery inBuckden.
Provideandmaintainbus shelters, seats, parishnoticeboards, dogwastebins, litter bins and salt bins at vari-
ous locations.
Comment on, but not decideon, all planningapplicationswithin theparish.
Support theeditorial teamandvolunteersof
TheRoundabout.
Monitor footpaths;monitor andplant trees and shrubswithinpublic areas;monitor road safety issues .
