We are looking for more paintings of any kind that we could use as a front cover. We can photograph them if you only have original artwork. We are also keen to get images (photos or paintings) of the village and surrounding areas in prepara- tion for future issues. Please note that images should ideally be in portrait format and should be a minimum of 2400 x 1700 pixels. More is better! We are finally starting to see dry, warmer days so I do have some hope for the summer ahead! However, that hope is somewhat tempered by the fact that we still do not know what the situation will be on June 21st. By the time this is delivered we will know whether any re- strictions are still in place, for how long and hopefully with a new end date in the not too distant future. The removal of restrictions regarding social distancing, mask wearing, size of groups and others will potentially have a sig- nificant impact of events planned in the village over the sum- mer: Village Fete, Buckfest, Scouts beer festival and many more besides. Regarding Buckfest, now scheduled for Saturday August 21st, the committee are delighted to have sold all tickets despite the ongoing uncertainty around the event. They are looking forward to a great day of music, sun and perhaps a couple of drinks. Talking of beverages, we now have 3 independent drink mak- ers in the village offering beer, cider and gin! All are already stocked by local watering holes or will be in the very near fu- ture. Next time you are out, remember to try the local drinks! Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. As well as every edition from 2013 onwards available to see, there are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month: www.buckdenroundabout.info This month ’ s editor - Ian Carter Editor ’ s Page
