Buckden Roundabout

August 2018

Huntingdonshire Health Walk Scheme

Huntingdon Group July 2018

There are 20 - 30 different healthwalks on the Huntingdon

group's "patch". Led by trained walk leaders, walks take place

every Wednesday at 2pm and Friday at 10am. August 2018's

ten walks include one from the Buckden Village Hall on the 8th,

and one from Buckden Marina on the 24th. Details are in a

booklet that leaders issue, or you can make contact as below.

If you can walk at your exercise-walking pace for 45 to 85

minutes, a healthwalk is for you. Wearing sturdy footwear and

weatherproof clothing is vital, and carrying a small bottle of

drinking water will avoid the risk of dehydration.

Healthwalking is healthy and fun. You can usually opt for a hot

drink afterwards. Walks cost nothing, although voluntary dona-

tions to the development of the subsidised scheme are grate-

fully received.
