It has been a month of extremes, weather wise,
since our last issue. A reasonable amount of
snow early on, and then some very warm, sun-
ny days just recently! I expect many of you took
advantage of the good weather to get back into
the garden and start all the work required after
winter - that’s exactly what the volunteers did
recently at St Mary’s.
We’d like to thank everyone who responded to
our plea for additional distributors in the last edi-
tion - we had our best response to such a plea
for some time! Anyone who contacted us and
offered their services should, by now, have re-
ceived a response.
Finally a quick word of warning. There was an
attempted distraction burglary in Silver Street
recently - the suspects claimed to be from the
Water Board. Please reduce your risk of becom-
ing a victim by using a chain if you have one,
and by asking and checking for ID. A genuine
visitor will not object to a thorough check of their
credentials.
