23 Buckden Roundabout September 2024 Village News Hedgehogs The Huntingdonshire Local Group of the Wildlife Trust is pleased to welcome Judith Large on Wednesday 11 th Septem- ber at 7.30pm at Brampton Memorial Hall. Judith is a retired lecturer and long - standing volunteer at Shepreth Hedgehog Hospital. Shepreth Hedgehog Hospital is a specialist setting where sick and injured hedgehogs are treated and then released back to the wild. It is open 365 days of the year and in the last 10 years they have rescued over 5,000 hedgehogs. As well as information about the treatment at the hospital, Judith will include information about hedgehogs in general and practical things you can do in your garden and community to support them. Everyone is most welcome to attend. Booking is not neces- sary. The charge is £3.50 and payment is by cash or card. We meet at Brampton Memorial Hall, Thrapston Road, Brampton, PE28 4TB. Registered Charity No: 1000412 Buckden Youth Club Who are we? We are a youth club aiming to give the young people of the area somewhere safe, relaxed and fun to spend time with their friends. We run for those in school years 7 to 11. The club is run by a group of volunteers who have been through the appropriate safeguarding training and are all DBS cleared. We have been successfully running this group since October 2018 with a break due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Where are we? We run weekly during term time on Thursdays 7.00 - 8.00pm at Buckden Towers What do we offer? We have several activities and resources available each week including: • Playstation 4 with the latest games • Football/outdoor games area • Tuck shop stocking various sweet treats, crisps and soft drinks • Milkshake Bar offering a number of different flavours • Board Games and Cards • Arts and Crafts • Chill out space We will open on 12 th September 2024 for the Autumn Term Look forward to seeing you there!
