10 Buckden Roundabout September 2024 For your diary Friends of Buckden Towers The Friends of Buckden Towers have been getting organised. Please have a look at our planned events below and make a note in your diary for this year and next! Tea at the Towers On Sunday, 15 th September, 2pm – 6pm, you can refresh your- self with a cup of tea and a cream scone in the Knot Garden at the very reasonable price of £4.50 (gluten - free available). Come and see our scarecrow too! Autumn Quiz Night On Friday, 22 nd November 2024, 7.30pm onwards, you can test your knowledge in teams of 6 at our Quiz Night. £5 entry fee, with prizes for the winning team. Please bring your own refreshments. Spring Quiz Night On Friday, 14 th March 2025, details as per the autumn quiz night. Buckden Plant Sale On Saturday May 17th 2025, between 11am - 3pm, our favour- ite nurseries will return with the opportunity for you to buy beautiful and unusual plants, direct from the growers. Delicious refreshments will, of course, be available. Entry fee to the sale will be £3 but without charge to all FoBT members. Literary evenings We are also planning two literary evenings, dates TBA. Please keep an eye on The Roundabout for details. In April 2025, we will host a talk on life and times of AE Hous- man, author of A Shropshire Lad. Alison Weir, renowned historical writer, will return to give an- other talk, following the success of her evening at The Towers in April of this year.
