At each meeting we either have a guest speaker or partici- pate in an activity of our own. We then enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits, and participate in a raffle. Why not come and join us? The venue on Wednesday the 15 th , the Buckden Village Walk, is the village hall car park, Burberry Road, PE19 5UY, at 2pm. The local venues for the remaining eight walks appear on the leafleted programme available from the Mayfield Surgery (PE19 5SZ) and the Library (PE19 5UY), or see below for con- tacts. The approximately - one - hour walks are led by trained volun- teers and follow risk - assessed routes at a steady exercise pace. Walkers are urged to consider weather and ground conditions and so to wear suitable clothing and footwear; it is also recom- mended that a bottle of drinking water is carried to avoid dehy- dration. To maintain good record - keeping, walkers must confirm their presence with the walk leader at least 5 minutes before the start - time.
