New Drivers Needed We are looking for new drivers. So, if you have a car, some free time and are willing to help please get in touch with peter.mount@btconnect.com or 07914 669967. Friends in Deed is a group of volunteers who offer help and support to residents of Buckden. All our volunteers are DBS checked and safeguarding trained. Need a lift to an appointment? There are fixed fees for this service. Please email our transport co - ordinator peter.mount@btconnect.com or call 07914 669967 and leave your name, number, address and details of your appointment (date, time, location) giving 48 hours notice please. Need someone to talk to or some practical support? Come and chat to us at the Community Café (in the Living Stones Room in St Mary ’ s Church Buckden on the 2 nd Wednesday of every month 2.30 - 4pm) or email friendsindeed@stmarysbuckden.org.uk . We can arrange home visits or phone - calls. This is a free service and can be either a one - off chat or regular chats. Want to volunteer? We are always on the look out for new volunteers. Buckden Junior Football Club This month we have enjoyed getting stuck back into our season, as well as welcom- ing many new faces to our ‘ Dribblers ’ sessions and our Inclusive Development team. We took part in the FA ’ s ‘ Play Safe ’ weekend which promoted safeguarding for all our players and the vital role that parents and carers can play in football. Inclusive Development Team – Buckden Owls Our Inclusive Development Football Sessions are fast becoming one of the highlights of our week! These sessions are for junior Para Superstars with disabilities and additional needs that would like to join in and play football to develop their skills in a positive and friendly environment. Our sessions are free of charge, all run by FA qualified coaches and we even a tea bar for spectators. Every Sunday, 10 - 11am at Buckden playing fields, the more the merrier! If you ’ d like to come and join this amazing group of children, please message or contact Matt on 07803 000690 or by email mattbjfc@gmail.com Dribblers Sessions Our Dribblers sessions are now back in force and we've been so happy to see lots of new faces join us (big and little) run throughout the year from 9 - 10am at Buckden playing fields. Sessions cost £1.50 per week, our guide age range is 4, from reception age but this is very much down to the individual child so if you think you have a child that is ready to join us – please contact us! New Development Squad We are regularly approached by players looking to join one of our teams, but many are sadly at maximum capacity. We are looking to start a new Development Squad to give these children a chance to play, learn and be coached until they are able to join a team.
