Perry Baptist Church Perry, PE28 0BT Reopening of Perry Baptist church building Perry Baptist Church is planning the reopening of their build- ing in Perry. As the pandemic restrictions are being eased the church is aiming to reopen the building on 23 rd May, Pente- cost Sunday. It seems to be an appropriate date for a number of reasons. By that time most will have had two vaccinations, certainly many will have had their 1 st vaccination, and will feel more comfortable in coming out a bit more. It is also a date often seen as a time of celebration in Christianity, with Pente- cost being noted as the birthday of the church. If you wish to be a part of the celebration you will be wel- come to join us at 10.30am on Sunday 23 rd May. Social dis- tancing rules will be in place and we would request all attend- ing to wear suitable face coverings. But unlike last year when contributions really took a battering due to the pandemic, Churches Together in Buckden are working hard to help, particularly after a year when we all have experienced what a pandemic can feel like. Christian Aid supports vulnerable people in poorer countries battling coronavirus and the effects of climate change. Look out for the famous big red envelope which we will be delivering to as many homes in Buckden as we can during the week inviting contributions to be taken to drop off points in the village. Please consider making a donation – after all we got our vaccine free; could you consider donating the cost of yours to help another?
