As aways the eight walks in June will be led by volunteer trained leaders, with whom walkers must register 5 - 10 minutes before the starts. Each risk - assessed, exercise - paced, walk is planned to take about an hour. Walkers should be sure that their footwear and clothing will cope with the day's weather and ground condi- tions. Also, carrying a bottle of drinking water is recommended, in case of dehydration. There are two walks from Buckden Village Hall this month. On Friday 7th we have the Buckden Village walk (yes, there may be parts of the village you are not so familiar with!) Also on 26th June it is the Hardwick Circular walk which has some great views over the village. Hopefully there will be a little less mud by the time we do these walks! To ensure that you always have current information about the walks, please pick up a full information leaflet from the May- field Surgery or the Library. Also available from walk leaders. The leaflet will cover walks from April to September. contact information: - Website:: www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/wellbeingwalks Email : activelifestyles@huntingdonshire.gov.uk Phone : 01480 388111 Buckden Local History Society June 5th AGM & Cockney Rhyming Slang by Barry Jobling Our annual review of events and selection of the com- mittee.
