It was taken by Alec MacAn- drew. This year ’ s Buckfest is on July 27th. We are looking for more photos and paintings of any kind that we could use as a front cover. We especially need photos and paintings of autumn scenes, and of events in the village. We should be grateful for photos (or even paintings!) of the coro- nation celebrations in the village. Please note that photos should ideally be in portrait format and should be a minimum of 2400 x 1700 pixels. More is better! Sadly we have seen little evidence of this so far! Perhaps we are set for an Indian Summer later this year? July brings one of the regular annual events - Buckfest. If you haven ’ t got your tickets yet the last few are still available. See page 17 for more details and a stage - by - stage line - up. It is always a great event regardless of the weather - let ’ s hope for sun though after the dampness of last year! Buckfest was voted the best festival in East Anglia in 2021, and the best festival in Cambridgeshire regularly over the last few years, it really is now a special event and an asset to the village. As ever, this year is as much about raising funds for local good causes as it is the music, and so far they have raised well in excess of £100000 over the 14 previous events. July 27 h prom- ises to be another great day. There are some great events happening over the summer and autumn so remember to regularly check the diary pages to ensure you do not miss out! Don ’ t forget, we have our Summer Social for contributors and distributors on July 2nd, starting at 6.30pm in the Knot Gar- den. We hope to see many of you there. As well as every edition from 2013 onwards available to see, there are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month.
