The group's eight walks this month are on a leaflet sent to the Mayfield Surgery and the Library. None of them starts/finishes in the village in January, so you will need to obtain a leaflet for the details, or get in touch with the contacts below. These sociable walks are verified as safe, are of about one - hour's duration at a comfortable pace, are led by trained volun- teer leaders, and are as pleasant as weather and ground condi- tions allow. Your footwear and clothing should match outside conditions; carrying a small bottle of water will avoid dehydration. Please report to the walk - leader before the walk and “ mind your step ” on the walk to avoid mishap.
