Planting in Lucks Lane Each year the Parish Council through the Green Infrastructure Group tries to plant a new area of flowers and shrubs to im- prove the biodiversity across the village. You can see some of the work we have done if you follow the walk in our Trees and Bees leaflet. If you use the following link you will find the leaflet https://buckdenpc.org.uk/the - parish/walking - in - buckden/#BuckdenTrees, which you can print off. The latest project is to improve the planting and biodiversity at the cor- ner of Lucks Lane and Stirtloe Road. We wish to thank the intrepid group who carried out the planting just before Christ- mas, the conditions were not very good but thanks to their hard work we hope that the plants will blossom and thrive over the years. Tree planting We are working with HDC to both replace dead trees and add more trees and hedges across the village. There will some trees being replaced at the end of Silver Street and new planting of a small group of trees at the allotments. Also at the allotments we hope also to plant a hedge, as hedges are as good for biodiversity as trees if not better.
