Ensure you have a worry - free summer with essential crime prevention tips. • Avoid leaving windows and doors open and unlocked, especially when you ’ re not at home. • Maintain a well - kept garden to eliminate any hiding spots for burglars. • Make sure outdoor furniture and tools are locked away when not in use. • Be cautious about sharing vacation plans on social me- dia, as this could attract opportunistic burglars. • Consider installing a reliable home security system. • If you see any suspicious activity in your neighbour- hood report it immediately https://bit.ly/3J4qHQj Remember staying proactive and following these steps can significantly reduce the risk of burglaries and allow you to enjoy the summer. If you believe you or a friend has been scammed • Tell someone and don ’ t feel ashamed—this happens to people of all descriptions and ages. • If you have parted with cash, shared your bank details, or noticed a suspicious transaction on your account, contact your Bank as quickly as possible. Leaflets, knitting patterns and examples of items to knit and sew will be available. Examples of completed shoeboxes and ways you can help with the shoebox appeal will all be there. Donations made will help towards the shoebox appeal either with transportation of the boxes or to buy items for the boxes. There will be a bring and buy stall, cake stall and card stall.
