The crested waves dip and rear. From deep sea blue to darkly grey In moments the waters change, Whipped up into a frenzy wild The tranquil waves leap and rage. Inauguration day draws nigh, The reservoir near complete, Filled to the brim the waters cool From shore to shore stretch and meet. Grafham by Royalty honoured, What elation there will be! Opening the Water and Club House, Prince Philip will turn the key. When the Royal day is over The scheme will progress amain; Trees to beautify the scene, Green grass on the banks again. Now and for all generations Pleasures and Usefulness link, Boating and fishing and picnics, Plenty of water to drink. In spite of the tears and heartaches, The reservoir is our gain, A heritage for the years ahead Grafham Water will remain. Anon (Continued from page 7) Buckden and Little Paxton Surgeries Patients Association (BLPSPA) The BLPSPA is now in the process of organising our Annual General Meeting. We are intending to hold the AGM on Wednesday the 15th of September, at 7:00 P.M., at Little Pax- ton Village Hall. We, as a Committee, wish to cordially invite you to attend, including the residents of Buckden, Little Pax- ton, and the surrounding villages, who are patients registered with our two local surgeries. As per usual at our AGM, offic- ers and representatives will be nominated and elected to serve on the Committee, there will be a report on the work carried out by the Association in the past year, and accounts will be reviewed. But in this most unusual year we are also planning to use the occasion to celebrate the achievements of the Vaccination Team who, over the course of the last several months, have provided such a service to our community. It will provide an opportunity to offer our thanks to these individuals, who all volunteered their time and energies, to contribute to the greater good. The injectors, the administrators, the meet - and - greeters, the car park team, the Scout Hall staff, the supervi- sors, all of those you met on that day whom you cannot fail to remember. And they are still at work, striving to reach their target of being able to offer vaccinations to all of the relevant age groups, from 18 upwards. So we are going to invite them all to be with us on the 15th. And it is hoped a representative from that Vaccination Team will agree to provide a presenta- tion that evening on the work carried out by the Team . Refreshments will be available. We will provide more information closer to the 15th of Sep- tember. Rob Gardiner - Chair, BLPSPA
